THE GENERAL SECRETARIAT
CYBERPOL is not only a membership-based organization, but is authorized to facilitate the International monitoring and tracking of malevolent websites and IP's containing illegal and harmful content capable of affecting the physical, emotional and psychological well-being of all Internet users as per Art. 2 by Decree WL22/16.595. Such data can be used for prosecutions and takedown in terms of CYBERPOL mandate and treaties, such as the Budapest Convention 8 November 2001 adopted by the general assembly of June 2016 to further the goals of CYBERPOL for safer and future internet users.
The General Secretariat is the body that assists and coordinates all our cyber policing and administrative activities.
Article 29 explicitly state “In the exercise of their duties, the Secretary General and the staff shall neither solicit nor accept instructions from any organization and / or institution and /or any government or authority outside the Organization membership.” Giving CYBERPOL Technical Team members supreme authority when it comes to all internet crimes.
Many Cybercrimes and Cryptocrimes today have a worldwide element; think of cybercrimes, fugitives, or stolen Intellectual property and /or illicit goods sold online that are driven by organized cyber crime factions. When any cybercrime stretches beyond their national jurisdictions, a country needs intercontinental support to resolve it.
CYBERPOL can incorporate its own Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in using regional bodies to tailor policy development, implementation and training.
